If Compliant With Brexit, You May Travel Without a Visa
Brexit has transformed travel between the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the EEA. You may travel to your destination without a visa if your business travel:
- Consists of simple business meetings, fact-finding, conference attendance, or short-term trainings
- Does not encompass audits, hands-on work including installations or repairs, extensive internal or external training, negotiations, or contract signing
- Will not generate payment or remuneration by an organization in your destination
- Will not exceed six months
If your business trip does not meet these conditions then you may require a work authorization or a visa. We can assist you with a free, initial 15-minute consultation with experts on Brexit from Newland Chase, a CIBT Company. Get started by clicking here. Provide us with your nationality, destination, a brief description of the activities you plan to conduct, and a telephone number (mobile preferred) to contact you.
If you intend to travel to your destination without a consultation then ensure that you:- Hold a passport valid for the entire duration of stay with one blank visa page, issued in the previous 10 years
- Hold proof of sufficient funds
- Hold proof of onward/return airline tickets
- Hold all documents required for the next destination
Confirm with their airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change
United Kingdom Visa FAQ
-
When is the best time to apply for my United Kingdom visa?
The best time to apply for your United Kingdom visa is 1-2 months before your travel date. However, if you are running short on time, we may be able to process your visa on a faster service at the Embassy’s discretion. -
Do I have to send you my passport to get a United Kingdom visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The United Kingdom visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application by a secure method, such as a guaranteed postal service or courier.
