Sample of the Business Travel Requirements for an India Visa for Irish Citizens

1. Passport

   The applicant's actual signed passport. The passport must:

   • Have at least two blank visa pages
   • Be valid for six months beyond entry date
   • Not be damaged in any way

2. Photograph

   You must provide a photograph. Upload your photo and we will print it to the exact specifications required for this visa. Follow https://visacentral.ie/photo-service to upload your photo.

   
   Alternatively, you may provide one colour, passport type photograph that meet the following strict criteria: be taken within the last three months against a white background and printed on high quality photo paper; be 5cm by 5cm in size; provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression. You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes. Your photograph should not be affixed to your application and may not display evidence of adhesive or staples.

3. Business Introduction Letter

   You must provide an original Business Introduction Letter from the applicant's Irish employer. Be certain your letter meets the specific requirements of the consulate by using our Digital Business Introduction Letter. Visit https://visacentral.ie/bcl-order to get started.

   Alternatively, please use the sample Business Introduction Letter provided at https://visacentral.ie/forms?formname=Business%20Introduction%20Letter%20Sample.pdf using the exact language and format provided in order to prevent a rejection and possible delays with your visa request. 

   Note that most consulates require the Business Cover Letter to be dated within one month of application submission.

   In addition to the language provided in the sample, your Business Introduction Letter must:
   • Specify the exact nature of the business activities during your stay
   • Specify the agenda and all attending parties if the activities include business meetings
   • Specify that the Company takes full financial responsibility for the applicant

    

4. Letter of Invitation

   An original letter of invitation from the company the applicant is visiting. This letter must:

   • Be on company letterhead paper
   • Include the name of the applicant
   • Specify the purpose of journey
   • Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required
   • Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
   • Be signed in the original 

5. Letter of Authorisation

   A letter of authorisation, permitting VisaCentral to represent the applicant is required. This letter must include the first name and last name of the VisaCentral representative who will submit the application. 6. Visa Application Form

   One fully completed and signed visa application forms. The form must: 

   • Be completed online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/
   • Be printed and signed by the applicant

   
   Once printed, the visa application form must be signed twice by the applicant.  Once on the first page and once on the second page in the signature sections. The signature must match the signature on the applicant´s passport.

7. Supplementary Form

   One fully completed and signed supplementary form for business travellers

8. VisaCentral Order Confirmation

   Provide the VisaCentral Order Confirmation included in this kit.

9. 5 Year Visa Applicants

   Applicants requesting a 5 year multiple entry visa must:

   • Submit a letter stating the reason for a 5 year visa being required
   • Submit a Business Introduction Letter and Letter of Invitation stating the validity of the visa
   • Submit a Business Introduction Letter stating the number of planned visits
   • Submit photocopies of more than two previous visas
   • Submit bank statements
